What is a pilot survey?

A pilot survey is where you test drive your survey with a few students. We do this to get feedback from the respondents on how we can improve the questionnaire. For example, one of the respondents might think that the survey is too long or too hard to understand.

Responses:

Looking at the responses my survey was fine and there were no problems with the time it took to finish or filling in the questions.

I am using a desk review to check my questionnaire.

• To check that my questions are not biased
• That the Questionnaires questions are easy to understand
• I need to check my relevancy to my respondents.

Clear instructions of how to complete	x
Anonymity statement	x
Questions:
Target Population identified and screened for	x
Does the question meet the purpose and research objectives?	x

Things I Could Change And How I Can Fix It

Things I could change in my questionnaire is to have instructions for each sector, At the moment I only have information in the first sector, and more questions to gather more information in my second sector.
I can easily fix this by simply adding more questions to my second sector, as well as instructions for the respondents.
